  5. With the Moose's new ability to speak Menus and

  7. and Dialogs, you will notice that some english

  9. words are pronounced incorrectly.  There was an

  11. application called "ExceptionEdit" from Apple that
  12.  
  13. stored Exceptions in a separate file. (Exceptions
  14.  
  15. are words that don't follow the simple rules for
  16.  
  17. translating English text into Phonemes.)

  19. Exceptions are stored in a 'RULZ' resource in the
  20.  
  21. "MacinTalk" file (ID=129).

  25. This application has (in the future) an option to

  27. add exceptions (an English word and it's phonetic
  28.  
  29. spelling) into MacinTalk.  Use the "Speech
  30.  
  31. Tester" to test the pronounciation of the word
  32.  
  33. before adding it.
