- About the Exceptions file.
-
-
-
- With the Moose's new ability to speak Menus and
-
- and Dialogs, you will notice that some english
-
- words are pronounced incorrectly. There was an
-
- application called "ExceptionEdit" from Apple that
-
- stored Exceptions in a separate file. (Exceptions
-
- are words that don't follow the simple rules for
-
- translating English text into Phonemes.)
-
- Exceptions are stored in a 'RULZ' resource in the
-
- "MacinTalk" file (ID=129).
-
-
-
- This application has (in the future) an option to
-
- add exceptions (an English word and it's phonetic
-
- spelling) into MacinTalk. Use the "Speech
-
- Tester" to test the pronounciation of the word
-
- before adding it.
-
- (Gee, I wish this options were available now.)
